Black hair ran past the shoulders of thirteen-year-old Saito Tsuki as she slowly made her way towards the ninja academy. She was to meet her sensei, Kurenai Yuuhi, and teammates - Rock Lee and Hayaka Kadohata there sometime this afternoon. Tsuki didn’t remember when, and nor did she really take the time to. Luckily for her, she was making her way a little earlier than they were supposed to meet.

Approaching the academy, Tsuki let a soft sigh emerge from her lips. “Hm…” Assuming that she was early, Tsuki leant up against the wall of the academy building, thinking about the day when Hana reminded her that her two best friends were found murdered in the woods. Was that the reason why she had become even more quieter and colder before, because she was sad and angry? Possibly… Tsuki didn’t seem to remember the reason why she dared to drop her friends - because they were stupid, idiotic boys?

Her dark- shaded cloak covered her body, her emotionless grey eyes staring blankly across from her, often darting from side to side. She was bored… surely she wasn’t THAT early, was she?[/sub][/ul][/font]

['Sai]

"Alright, I'm going to ask nicely. Where did you put it?"
A twelve-year-old girl was standing outside of her house, glaring up at a window, where two younger girls were hanging out of. The older one giggled, tucking a stand of long light brown hair behind her ear. "We'll never tell, Hayaka. Right, Hoshi?"

The youngest one, looking to be about eight, nodded happily. "Yep!"

Hayaka looked absolutely furious. “Natsuko, Hoshi, give me back my hitai-ate NOW!”

Hoshi fiddled with her dark brown hair hair, suddenly looking nervous. “Natsuko, she looks mad…”

“MAD! HA! I’M NOT MAD!” Hayaka screamed. “I’M FURIOUS! NOW GIVE IT BACK! YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE ME LATE!”

Natsuko smiled wickedly. “Well, we were going to give it back, but after that outburst, you’re on your own.” She pulled away from the window, and Hoshi trotted after her.

Hayaka gaped at the window. “Wha…. Oh, great.” She slapped a hand to her forehead. She stalked over to the front door and wrenched it open, frantically trying to list all of the places it could be.

“Try outside.” Hoshi poked her head around a doorway.
Hayaka whirled on her. “Where outside?” she demanded. But Hoshi just skipped away, quietly murmuring some rhyme to herself.

Knowing she wasn’t getting anywhere just standing there, Hayaka darted back outside. Finally, she found the hitai-ate on the roof of a neighbor’s house. Quickly, she tied it on, the bottom skimming the top of her forehead, and raced for the Academy, silently cursing her younger sisters.

She skidded to a stop at the building, trying to spot the rest of her team. She noticed Tsuki, but no one else. Huh. Maybe I’m not late after all.

[[ dee. ]]

“I know, it’ll be fine. I /am/ a jounin now right?” A females’ voice was heard through the bustling streets of Konoha. “And my team seems like great kids; there’s really no need to worry.”

“But what if you have trouble with them? This is your first team after all!” Another female’s voice, pitched a bit higher than the first stated. She obviously seemed worried about the entire situation.

“If the hokage thinks I’m ready…” The first spoke, red eyes flashing. “Then I’m ready.” Of course, the second woman couldn’t argue with that. She was sure that the hokage knew perfectly well what he was doing. And if he trusted Kurenai Yuuhi with a team then she must be cable of handling any circumstance of trouble or not.

“Then will you let me go? I don’t want to be late meeting them. It’d be a bad first impression.” Kurenai smiled to the woman next to here.

“Oh, right.” The second chuckled lightly, letting go of Kurenai’s arm which she had been clinging to for dear life. After the other let go of her arm, she smiled, waved and began walking in another direction towards the Knoha Ninja Academy. Hopefully her student would be there as well.

Approaching the Academy, two kunoichies caught her eye. One seemed rather solemn, wearing enough black for it to be a funeral. The other seemed to be slightly miffed about something, about what she couldn’t be sure. By the descriptions given to her by the hokage, she realized the first was Saito Tsuki and the second Kadohata Hayaka. Rock Lee hadn’t shown yet… it wasn’t like him to be late for occasions. Perhaps she was just a bit early. A smile upon her face, Kurenai stepped towards the two girls, waving slightly.

“Saito Tsuki and Kadohata Hayaka I presume?” Kurenai questioned, just to make sure her facts were correct. “I’m Yuuhi Kurenai. Your new sensei.” She smiled again, looking over the two ninja. ‘They seem interesting. Both have their own specialty I’m sure.’ She thought, glancing around for a moment. ‘Hmm, perhaps we should start without Lee. I’m sure he’ll show up soon.’

{Random person she was talking to is just... a random person. Yaay.}

['Sai]

OoC: Yay for random people. ^^

BiC: Hayaka looked up, still simmering about her hitai-ate. But that all dissappeared quickly.
She grinned. "Yep, I'm Hayaka. Nice to meet you." She took a breath, then started.

"So, what are we going to do first? Do we start training right now? Or do we wait for later? And isn't someone else coming? Lee, or whoever he was? Do we start without him? Or are we going to wait? When do we get to go on missions? Are they fun? What kinds of missions are there? Where do we get to travel? When do we start training? Did I ask that already? Oh well. What do we get to do when we train? Is it fun? Is it?"

Hayaka took a breath, still grinning. She began to bounce on the balls of her feet, eager to start. She was panting slightly after her questions, but she didn't seem to notice.

['Sai]

Hayaka glanced back at Tsuki. "Hm? Oh - right." She gave a slightly embarrassed smile. "Sorry about that."

She continued to bounce up and down on her heels. With her excitment, and the slightly amount of nerves she was feeling, it was pratically impossible for her to keep still. But in an attempt to do so, she crossed her arms, and stopped bouncing. For a moment. Then she started again, eager beaver that she was.

This girl certainly had a lot of questions… a whole lot of questions… clearing her voice, Kurenai kept a slight smile. “The first thing I was planning on doing was getting to know you all. Training doesn’t start until tomorrow. Rock Lee is in our group, just a bit late.” She took a breath, going over the girl’s questions in her head. “Our missions will be mostly D-Ranked; as you all progress we will go to C-Ranked. The missions are fun, depending on how you look at them.” Hmm, she was forgetting something… “And we’ll be traveling wherever our missions take us. Usually to villages close to Konoha, but in some cases we will travel to places you’ve never even heard of.” Satisfied she had answered all of Hayaka’s questioned she turned to Tsuki.

“”Do you have any questions on top of those already asked? Or did I cover everything?” Kurenai chuckled lightly, bemused by the inquisitive genin. ‘So this is only two genin from the team… it’s already a bit crazy.’ She thought, contemplating what their skills truly were.

[Taiki-kun]

It was his only thought... one sight of the Kurenai and he was hooked. "Wow she's beautiful... I just wanna!"
He was thinking out loud.
"I love her!"

He walked to his team, or what he thought was his team and waited for someone to say something, anything. Saddly, he acctually didn't know that he thought out loud.

His arms were crossed to show strength. His face seemed normal to show he was calm. He body stature stood strong to impress the ladies. To tell you the truth, most people woulden't think he is acctually a ladies man. For some reason, he still has his eye on Kurenai. Was he admiring her beauty, or undressing her with his eyes? Who knows? Boys these days are so perveted. Just look at Jiraya, Kakashi, and Naruto.</sup>

NOTE: Lee will not act like this all the time, it's one of his moments!

Kurenai chuckled lightly, watching Hayaka bounce up and down. ‘She’s certainly up for anything, isn’t she?’ She thought, looking over to Tsuki who had just spoken.

“Yes.” She agreed to Tsuki’s statement. “Even at genin level you must be careful. Getting killed is easier than you think, even on low ranked missions.” Of course, getting killed on a D-rank mission was close to 0%. But embarking on a D-ranked mission, if one isn’t vigilant you could get stabbed though the heart. Exactly why only jounin could train genin; safety.

“An older sister? Might she have trained in Konoha also?” She smiled again. “I’m just assuming your sister is a ninja; you said you learned from her.”

Moments later a voice was heard coming from down the road. At first, Kurenai had no idea who it belonged too; but as soon as she heard his way of speaking, she knew exactly who it was. Rock Lee. But soon after she recognized what he was saying, she got a rather odd look on her face. It was like when you saw some fat guy dancing on television; you eyebrow goes up and you just sorta stare. Stare and wonder…

“Heh~ Lee. Nice of you to finally show up. I’m Yuuhi Kurenai, your new sensei.” She chuckled lightly, trying to hide the fact she was utterly disturbed. “These are your teammates; Saito Tsuki and Kadohata Hayaka.” She motioned towards the two kunoichies.

‘Poor Lee; he’s the only guy on the team…’ She thought, suddenly remembering training and all that. “So! Now that we’re all here, I’d like to get to know you. Just tell be a bit about yourself; dreams, favorite color, what you want to be when your older, why you wanted to be a ninja… you know. All those interesting tidbits people don’t usually know about you.” She smiled again. “This is your team, after all, and to work together we have to know quite a bit about each other.”

Clearing her voice, Kurenai decided she’d go first; just to break the ice. “I’m Yuuhi Kurenai. My specialty is genjutsu. I was born on August 11th… hmm.” What else to say? “I graduated the academy at age nine and became a chuunin at age thirteen. I just became a jounin a few months ago, so, you’re my first genin team.” Realizing that was all she wanted to say to the world, she ended it there. “Alright, who’s next?”

[Taiki-kun]

Lee hopped up in a cheerful mood, pretending he didn't say anything before. He kinda wanted them draw their attention from his outbursts.
"My name's Rock Lee, I'm 14 and my birthday's November 27th. I specialize in Taijutsu... and umm... my favorite color is GREEN!"
Lee bowed in respect to his Sensei after he compelted his statement. Still, he respect Guy Sensei much more. During the academy night, after class, guy sensei trained and prepared Lee in Taijutsu. Lee would probably be the best ninja ever if his chakra coils weren't underdeveloped.}

“Taijutsu? Haha, I’ve heard quite a bit about you from Gai-san.” Kurenai nodded, mentally making note of what Lee had said. She’d heard a bit about Lee from quite a few jounin actually. They all said he was ‘unique’ or ‘special’. One look at him and all Kurenai thought was ‘Gai-clone’; but other than his fashion sense he seemed like quite a nice shinobi.

“Alright then, Tsuki or Hayaka. You’re next.” The entire team looked completely different from one another. Hopefully the could work better than they looked together…

['Sai]

Hayaka waved a hand jauntily. "I'm Kadohata Hayaka!. I'm twelve, and my birthday's September 2nd. And... hmm.... My favorite color is blue, and I am a bit of a mix between ninjutsu and taijutsu." She opened her mouth to add more, then quickly shut it.

No need to tell them anything else.. They'll probably find out later, she thought bitterly, her left hand slowly straying unconsiously to the second holster on her leg. Her left hand stopped, then clenched into a fist, but she continued to smile, but it felt fake and as if someone had plastered it onto her face.

“Kadohata Hayaka, hm?” Kurenai nodded thoughtfully, scanning the hyperactive girl before her. “I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do.” This girl; she hadn’t heard of her. As a matter of fact, the only person she really knew anything about -other than the information given to her by Hokage-sama- was Rock Lee. It was hard not to know of Lee, seeing as Gai was constantly babbling about him every second he got…

“A medic ninja, very interesting.” A smile appearing on her face once more, she turned to the black clad female. Though as she listened to her words, Kurenai sensed that this girl was rather non-social. Of course, this was good and bad in many ways. A plus being that the girl could be silent and emotionless towards an enemy; a minus being that she may not communicate with her teammates as easily as most. “Yes, giving away more information than needed isn’t necessary. Just the basics are fine.” She nodded, noticing this girl was careful of her words off the battlefield. This showed she had great ninja potential. Though, it seemed her entire team showed potential; Lee was already quite versed in taijutsu and showed great determination. Hayaka seemed skilled as well, though it seemed her easy-going personality would be a great asset to the team. Tsuki was secretive, though she could sense power behind her calm way of acting. All together, the team seemed balanced.

“Now that we’ve all introduced ourselves, I’d like to see you combat skills. We’ll try taijutsu first, followed by ninjutsu, then genjutsu. If you’re unable to do one of the jutsu I mentioned, go ahead and watch the rest of the team.” A pale hand motioned to the practice dummies set in the academy’s training area just shy of where they were positioned. “Go ahead and pick a target and give it your best. Remember, taijutsu first.”
