As the sun rose on Konohagakure No Sato, a girl at the age of tweleve was standing in front of the long mirror that was settled in her room. Haruno Sakura had just finished tying her hitae-ate in her hair, replacing the ribbon she used to wear.
-From now on...I'm a shinobi...-
Sakura was staring at herself in the mirror, now admiring herself. She had take the long hard time on her hair last night, just to get it to have that lovely gleam that was showing up now. Sakura felt her image was perfect, eyes glinting with the morning sun...
"The only thing that is better than being a shinobi, is being a shinobi with...SASUKE-KUN!" she whispered in excitement, smiling and slightly blushing.
Uchiha Sasuke, Sakura's old classmate in the academy, was her not-so-secret crush. Sakura couldn't help but adore him...Sasuke was everything that she would want in a boy. Cute, smart...But, it was hard trying to win his affections. That stupid pig, Yamanaka Ino (whom also had a crush on Sasuke), was trying to steal him from Sakura!
-The nerve!- Sakura frowned slightly, hands going into her hair to slightly adjust the hitae-ate.
She had been friends with Ino at one point in her life; when they first started out at the academy. It was Ino's idea with the ribbon, telling Sakura she shouldn't be ashamed of the size of her forehead...But, it ended when Sakura had stated that they were to be rivals. A bad way to end a relationship, right? But, Sasuke is the only reason why this happened and he turned out to be more important to Sakura than anyone!
"Her loss. If only she would have given up her crush on him, then, we wouldn't have this problem." Sakura told her reflection, bringing her arms down to her sides.
She took a few steps away from the mirror, trying to urge herself to smile. The only thing that made a smile appear on her face was...Sasuke-kun. Sakura nodded to herself, slightly, knowing that everything was to be fine if Sasuke were to be with her. She then raced out of the room, all ready...
When Sakura was exposed to the morning air, she sighed. Being a shinobi wasn't everything she dreamed of, exactly. But, that was the only reason why she had went to that academy in the first place. Besides, Sasuke was to be the big upside to this whol situation...But, there was another girl on the team.
-What if she makes any attempt to steal Sasuke-kun from me...?- Sakura questioned herself, gently biting her pale lip. -What if...I don't win Sasuke's heart....?-
Sakura let her head hang slightly for a moment, but soon picked it up, starting down the side walk. She didn't want her hair all ruined, now did she? Sakura quietly ran a hand through the bright pink hair, making sure everything was just fine back there. Her hair had only reached this great length because, from what she heard a few years ago, Sasuke admired long hair...And soon, Sasuke was to admire Sakura.
-Love will surely come out into the open to its calling! Sasuke will open those eyes of him and finally see that I am suppose to be with him!- She nodded once again, training grounds coming in sight.
Hopefully, being a member of Team Two, everything will be fine and well. Maybe Sasuke and that other girl won't have any interest in each other. The only thing that was for certain...This team won't be so awful...Only because it was lacking in the piece that makes everything worse; Uzumaki Naruto. FINALLY. Sakura managed to get away from that freak.
-Naruto-baka? Hokage? The only person who has a chance of becoming The Hokage is Sasuke-kun...!-
Sakura came to a short stop, now standing under a large tree which was providing a good amount of shade from the morning sun. Now, all Sakura had to do was wait for everyone...

do that? Just... strike every single member in his clan... the Uchihas were once a clan of importance in Konohagakure, but ever since that day when he returned from the academy, the Uchihas were nothing but two boys. Sasuke always wanted to surpass his elder brother. His older brother was praised for absolutely everything, and Sasuke didn't get anything but, 'be as good as your brother'. Was it because he was younger...? Or was it because Itachi was better at everything? Deciding it was the second one, the young Uchiha had done everything he could to try and surpass his brother. His brother allowed this, and was even kind to him... but... on that day... Obviously, the shinobi was waiting... waiting for his team to show up. Yesterday, Uchiha Sasuke graduated from the Konoha Ninja Academy. Yesterday, Uchiha Sasuke was told to meet his team at precisely eleven-thirty ante meridiem. Yesterday, Uchiha Sasuke was told he that he would be working with man named Jiraiya, and two other girls. So, here stood the pale shinobi, what appeared to be a confused and thoughtful expression on his face. Of course, he wasn't concerned about his teammates showing up or not as of the moment. He was just busy thinking of how he would manage to avenge his clan‘s death. That‘s what he was… an avenger - and it seemed that no one really took seriousness to this fact but himself. He remembered the couple of nights after almost everyone in the Uchiha clan died; he had nightmares for the first couple of days and was afraid to sleep alone for the first couple of months, but after he got over his fear Sasuke knew he had to do it - no, he was the only one who could do it. “Hmm.” The boy stared at the ground, still waiting for someone from his team to join him; the sensei should've been there already. How long does it take them to get to the Ninja Academy? It wasn’t THAT far away from anyone’s home - Konoha was a small village. Finally spotting Sakura, the boy remained silent. He wasn't in the mood to be 'adored' today. Even though he was often flattered by it, he wouldn't admit it; not that he liked any of them, however.[/sub][/ul]

It took a moment for Sakura to actually see Sasuke, whom was a few feet away. This was a bit odd that she didn't see him as quickly as she was able to. But, once her beloved came into site of the teal-ish green eyes, Sakura felt herself grow warm slightly.
-Oh goodness...Sasuke-kun! He always looks so cool...!- she told herself, a soft blush appearing over her pale cheeks. -Better go talk to him. He looks a bit lonely. But, I am here to change all of that...-
Sakura took a few slow steps forward, but, they suddenly became quick and swift as she went toward the Uchiha boy. Oh goodness...Sakura couldn't help but be excited. It was Uchiha Sasuke, after all! The top of the class...He was so cool looking, even when he wasn't looking at anyone, keeping his eyes shut, like he would during classes...
"Sasuke-kun! Hello!" Sakura squeeked, smiling brightly. "Isn't great that we were put on the same team...?!"
The girl almost laughed. The sensei nor other teammate were present...Did this mean this would give Sakura some time with Sasuke...alone? Hopefully this was all true...Hopefully no one would bother to show up for a long while. She just wanted it to be her and Sasuke...

The morning sun shone brightly over Konoha, while a twelve year old girl walked slowly among a field of grass on the outskirts of the training grounds. She always enjoined morning walks alone, but today was different she couldn't spend time alone instead she was supposes to meet her team mates. "Team two..." She reminded herself, imagining the number appeared in her mind.
She walked slowly not looking off of the ground to try and spot her team. "Now, Jiraya-Sensei told me to meet him at the training grounds to find one girl and a male-..." The sight of two people, a male and a female to be exact stopped her thoughts.
"..." The female quietly walked up to the couple not say anything at first, she wasn't shy, oh no not at all, she didn't want to make any bad fist impressions. "So, are you two both on team two?" she asked looking up at the girl and boy. She didn't seem to happy, she didn't want to meet new people, she didn't want to talk to anyone at all, all she wanted was peace and quiet and some time to her self.
She adjusted her Leaf head band protector around her waste, with a calm look on her face.

Sakura turned away from Sasuke, nearly scowling. A fist was formed with her right hand on her side as she stared at the newcomer, eyes slightly narrowed.
-So much for me and Sasuke-kun being alone...This girl shows up! My only reall competition as of right now...- Sakura told herself, frowning in discontent. -I just gotta make sure Sasuke-kun doesn't show any interest in her...!-
Just as much as Risa didn't want to be here, Sakura didn't want Risa there at all. Why pick such a great time to waltz in before Sakura was even able to start a nice conversation with Sasuke? As Sakura pondered these thoughts, a line formed on her forehead, putting much thought into this. But, only one thing remained...
-I can't let this girl like Sasuke. I've been waiting for this moment too long...I even grew out my hair for Sasuke-kun!- Sakura thought, anger growing in the pit of her stomach.
However, after this akward moment, Sakura managed to lighten her expression, forcing a weak smile. She decided to play nice. It would only be right to be civil with the newcomer now if there wasn't any rivalry issue, as of yet.
"Yes. We are both on Team Two. I'm Haruno Sakura..."

thought the Uchiha to himself as he watched Sakura's green eyes spot him. His hands still folded together, he didn't move at all. Sakura... she was annoying - just as annoying as Naruto and his fangirls. Uzumaki Naruto. He often bothered Sasuke about being 'thinking he's so cool' and all of that. Believing that he really was going to be Hokage one day. What a lie... a lie to himself and others. There was very little chance of Uzumaki, let alone himself, becoming a Hokage. So, why did Naruto always go around trying to prove himself. Everyone seemed to know it: Uzumaki Naruto was a failure, and always would be. He tried too hard. Isn't it great that we're on the same team? The words echoed through his mind. He didn't want to respond to Sakura, but he felt as if it was his only choice. "Hmn." That was his only response - he didn't like talking to Sakura, except when calling her annoying and when she was actually being HUMAN for once. Sasuke turned his head, eyes growing wider, hands falling back to his side. "Hmn. Yes. I am." He murmured, taking his eyes off of Sakura to look at the newcomer.[/sub][/ul]

Risa didn't have much interested in any of them, but she must try to be nice at least.
She tried and put a smile on her face, it looked oh so fake but how could she help it, she didn't even want to be here.
"I'm also on team two. I'm Matsura Risa." She said blunted, while looking at each of them, trying to gather information.

Sakura managed to chuckle, quite weakly. "Well, I suppose we ought to keep waiting until the sensei gets here..." she said, lightly.
Her tealish green eyes were locked on Sasuke once more, wishing that she had a way to make herself seem more brillant. It appeared that her only goal in life as of now, was to achieve those effections of Sasuke's...If he had any.
Sakura bit her pale lip, letting a frown pass over her face. Sasuke didn't appear to be happy today. Not that he ever did, but, today...This was something different. Sakura was sure of it. So, what other choice was there to trying to cheer the Uchiha boy up? It would only be the right thing to do...
"Listen, Sasuke-kun..." Sakura said, lightly brushing her pink hair behind her shoulder. Her voice lowered as she leaned in, a bit closer to Sasuke. "After this, do you want to go out and do something...?"
Well, she was giving this a shot. Hopefully she had hit the target and Sasuke would reply with what Sakura wanted to hear. She had been working quite hard to get to this point and she wasn't going to let it all go to waste.

The words repeated over and over in his head. I will avenge all of the members of the Uchiha clan who died: I am an avenger...Words still echoing in his mind, the pink-haired genin broke his train of thought, asked him on a date. Of course, his answer would be... "No." the Uchiha said, in his emotionless voice. [/sub][/ul]

Sakura's face went blank, but, she forced a small smile. "Oh, that is alright, Sasuke-kun...I understand..."
The truth was, the pink haired girl hadn't a clue. And even though she was smiling, saying it was all right, the inner part of her said different. On the outside, yes, she was smiling. However, on the inside, Sakura was sobbing.
-He said no! But, why...?!- she questioned herself, in dismay, continuing to stare at Sasuke. -What did I do that was wrong...? I just don't get it. THERE MUST BE SOMEONE ELSE!-
Sakura sighed, shutting her eyes slightly, back hunched over. Oh well, Uchiha Sasuke always played hard to get. Maybe next time, she'd get the 'yes' she has been waiting for. Sakura quickly straightened up, with a nervous laugh. She clearly ran out of things to say.
-But, love will concer!- Sakura told herself, mentally punching a fist into the air, as she herself just quietly stood on the spot. -I will show everyone...!-
Sakura put her hands behind her back, obviously lost in her own thoughts. But, she was trying to think up of something to say...Even if those thoughts were interefered with fantasies of Sasuke telling her he loved her...
"Erm...So, are you glad that we are now ninja? I mean...Away from the academy?" Sakura questioned Sasuke. Her voice then lowered, to a grim tone, "And away from that stupid Naruto?"

The words echoed in his mind. "Hmn? I wouldn't be the one to talk, Sakura." He paused for a moment, looking at the sky. "...because you're more annoying than Naruto." No. He wasn't going to hold a good conversation with Haruno, not now; maybe when she matured in her personality, but not now. Not when she was obsessing over him and bothering him every five minutes. Deciding that he wasn't going to be able to be left alone, Sasuke let out a deep sigh. This certainly was going to be a long day - as were the rest of their days as genin. Risa, was fine as of the moment. He knew that they were going to get along fine - but as of the moment, Sakura was going to be the downfall of the team. Not knowing what his sensei was like yet, he only could assume that he'd get along with them, as well.[/sub][/ul]

Sakura's tealish eyes widened slightly. On the inside, she felt as though something in heavy weight was just dropped on her head.
-More annoying than Naruto-baka?!- the inside of the girl wined, dropping from the large amount of weight. -How can that be....?-
However, Sakura chuckled lightly, putting a finger to her lips. Eyes returning to normal from the state of shock. She was trying to laugh this all off. But, on the inside, Sakura was quite upset even though the outter Sakura was trying to act very calm about this situation.
"What do you mean by that, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura questioned. "Naruto hasn't any parents to tell him what to do. That is why he acts the way he does all the time. He is obnxious and thinks he can become Hokage by just wearing a hitae-ate. How foolish is that? Besides, do you think such a person like him would ever become The Hokage? I mean, it is all just awful how he is always talking about how he is going to do it...But, he doesn't have anyone to teach him that. My mother would be quite angry if I caused such a racket in class, but, Naruto doesn't have a mother to tell him it is wrong. He does whatever he wants and it is just annoying."
There. That all sounded quite brilliant to Sakura. Sure, it was something said last minute without much thought, but Sasuke would have to agree to that! It was all true of what she had said about Naruto...Right? Besides, there was nothing more to the baka, so, all he is...Is just a pain and annyoing loud mouth.
Sakura smiled weakly, the inside of her burning with great deal of happiness. That all had to make sense...That was all true. She just said what seemed to be quite impressive, so, that had to gain good results!
-There you go! A point for Sakura!- the inside of her screamed, punching a fist into the air.

Risa smirked a bit and looked away form the two. "How hopeless, all Sakura cares about is that boy, the Uchiha. She should be more focused on training and becoming a better ninja." She commented to herself.
Risa wasn't all that interested in the Uchiha, of course she knew he had one too many fan girls but she felt different about him. She didn't have a crush on him. However, taking a look at him didn't matter, his looks weren't any interests for her. She looked at every person the same, as a ninja, nothing else.
