Team Five visits the Stand.

" What are you trying to say?!? That he's more of a 'ramen regular than me!?! " He yelled loudly.

He quickly grabbed his bowl and poured the rest of the contents into his mouth. Every last drop landed in there and he quickly swallowed it.

" Done! " He said grinning like a fool.

[Tenko]

At his yell she turned to watch incredulously as he poured the contents of the Ramen bowl down his mug, not able to comment for a moment at Haru's obvious pride and being able to make a bowl of Ramen disappear in less than three seconds.

"... Points for gorging. You're positive you're not one of Akimichi Chouji's cousins...?" Sounding a little dazed as she stared from the empty bowl to Haru's face, a thought struck her making Ino look away smartly and commenting with a challenging smirk, "But really, Haru, that was only the first bowl; you're still on the loosing end." Nodding towards Naruto's pile of empty bowls, she added with amusement, "Aw, come on, give it up."

Okay, so it wasn't exactly to her taste watching idiots compete over eating-competitions, but Haru seemed suddenly a lot more comfortable that way, even though Ino herself could honest-to-Kami not comment.

He looked at Naruto. How much could this kid eat? Well he would eat more. He threw more money on the counter.

" Five more bowls please. " He said grinning like a fool still.

Ino apparently had control over him. He was still trying to impress her by eating the most. That would probably fail horribly.

[Tenko]

"Are you crazy!?" Ino demanded, looking shocked; chopsticks laden with ramen she lowered them slightly back towards the bowl watching in disbelief as Haru called for another... Five bowls.

He's like... A vacuum cleaner.

This was worthy of comment, but she instead lowered her untensils completely, covering her gaping mouth with one hand and shakings with surpressed laughter. "I wasn't serious you idiot - are you really going to eat all of that?"

" Oh yeah! I can take it! I'm the Ramen Champ! " He said as they arrived. " Itadakimasu! " He yelled as he began to slurp the noodles at fast speeds.

He easily ate the first bowls contents and dumped the broth into his mouth. He pushed it aside and began working on the second one. He finished it just as quick. His stomach was filling up quickly although. He grabbed the third one and just dumped it into his mouth and gulped it down. He repeated it with the fourth one. But he began to slow on the fifth one.

"Aw....I knew it wasn't a good idea..." He said as he quickly left the shop and went into an alley way to throw up.

All right, so it was worthy of staring at; while impolite, the fact that Haru could shove Ramen down so fast made her watch him reluctantly, almost positive that he was about to choke on his chopsticks in a minute.

As he slowed down Ino stared at him with great skeptical suspicion; the boy seriously wasn't going to make it. Sheepishly inching away from him in a tease, the kunoichi was only half-surprised when the flirt had to abort on his endeavor, dashing out of the stall with an unfinished Ramen bowl left behind.

"Shit - Haru?!" Half standing on her stool and dropping her chopsticks in shock, she instintively started him but stopped herself before leaving completely. Staring at the flap incredulously, she glanced back to Mizu and Naruto before staring at Ayame and the chef. Damn. He's probably out there throwing it back up...

"G-gomen?" Ino trailed weakly at the chef, slowly sitting back down. Cheeks flushed with red at the embarrassing situation, she decided it was best to wait for him instead of walking in on Haru doing what... He needed to do. "It really had - it wasn't your -... May I have a glass of water?"

Taking this from the shocked but complying pair (Ino supposed people had challenged Naruto before), she meekly put the glass beside Haru's ramen-bowl, prodding her food with her chopsticks and staring anxiously at the flap entrance.

Naruto was quickly finishing his last bowl of ramen, but only stopped to stare at Ino and Haru. This Haru kid, Naruto figured out, was a real idiot. Who did he think he was, trying to act so great? And, he was most likely a pervert...Did Haru fancy Ino...?

-Yamanaka Ino...Very annoying and it's not because she's got the same stupid thing for Sasuke like Sakura-chan.- Naruto told himself, trying to remember why he felt negative emotions toward Ino.

Naruto got up from his seat, not appearing to be interested in Haru trying to drown himself in ramen. This nearly seemed like a first for the hyperactive child, but, Naruto felt as though he had other things to do. He had training to get around do, and, besides, Shizune-sensei did not show up. And, the woman was suppose to pay for the orders of ramen Mizu and Naruto ordered.

"I've got to start training." he muttered to himself.

Naruto quickly stuck a hand in his pants' pocket, pulling out a little green frog pouch, which appeared to be quite fat. The mouth of the toad was opened and Naruto pulled a bit of pay out of the toad, setting it on the table. After closing the toad pouch and stowing it away in the pouch, Naruto prayed that Mizu could pay for her own orders...The boy liked his toad pouch best when it was fat...Not skinny and empty.

He threw up all over the alley way and wiped his mouth off with his arm. He wiped his arm on the wall.

- I'm such an idiot.. - He thought to himself.

He ran his hands through his hair and walked back in.

" I guess I'm not the ramen champ. " He said quietly.

[Tenko]

The kunoichi watched distractedly as Naruto offered the workers money from a ridiculous-looking frog-wallet, not really counting but trying to fend off the awkward air left over my her companion rushing out of Ichiraku's to throw up his food.

"Mm, I'll pay for Mizu-chan's," she stated haughtily to Naruto, and if Ino was aware that he'd rather not pay for his team-mate and was saving his skin as opposed to being a witch about things, it certainly didn't show. "I haven't seen her in forever and... I don't know if Haru's coming back." These last words were muttered as she pulled out her own money forking it over with the pile of Naruto's - tip included - and looking nervously from Mizu to the entrance again.

Oh - so he did come back.

Tossing a napkin Haru's way and snagging the water she'd called for him, she held the glass uncertainly as she considered his almost... dejected looking form. "Well you don't have to be so depressed about it," Ino stated loudly, for all the world as if Ramen-eating competitions were unimportant (that they were was beside the point). "I told you you were crazy for eating it all - here, have some water..."

Trying not to seem disdainful about the knowledge that he probably had thrown up (though it had intensified that awkward air all the more), she shrugged at him evenly and offered the water to settle his stomach down a bit.

He was a little surprised she didn't think it was gross like the other girls would. They would have just left the poor kid there. He smiled at her.

" Thanks. " He said with the smile on his face as he grabbed it.

He took a small sip. The taste was still in his mouth. Disgusting.

[Tenko]

Okay, so she did think it was honestly revolting, but knowing the Akimichi clan through her father, Ino was vaguely certain that something akin to this had once happened to that...chubby kid, Chouji... and had learned through the stern discipline of her father not to abandon ship automatically (as gross as things could be).

'So that was especially disgusting," she chirped cheerfully, still that horribly reddened shade. "But at least you got out of the stand on time. So before I yell at you - are you going to be okay?"

" I did it all for nothing too. " He said looking down at the ground kicking a small rock.

He went over to where he was sitting before. He finished off his glass and put it down. He had failed horribly at impressing her and beating Naruto. He just stared idly at the empty bowls with a depressing look on his face.

" Yeah...I'm fine. " He added a couple seconds after.

[Tenko]

"Good." Reassured that Haru was inflicted only with a wounded pride and the after-effects of nausea, Ino dusted back his spikey brown hair to touch lightly on his forehead; it was an instinctive action spawned from her motherly streak, even if she was scoffing at his idiocy in the meanwhile.

"I still don't know what the reason was," she complained in a scolding manner, "You could've just stopped Hiyashi-kun - you didn't have to make yourself sick." Flicking his forehead reprimandingly, it was only then that Ino noticed the split colors of his eyes; she didn't stare at them, though, because Kami-sama she'd been doing it a lot lately.

"We haven't all got stomachs of titanium, and you should've known that girls don't find vomiting attractive, master Sexy Dragon of Konoha." It was a weak tease as she tossed back her bangs and politey placed her ramen-bowl to the side, asking Ayame-san if she could please wrap it up; the kunoichi had an inkling that Haru wouldn't exactly want to see Ramen until he'd settled down enough, so she went about stacking his bowls to make it easier for Ayame to collect them.

He wasn't replying to the other things she said. But he did smile when she called him his self-made nickname.

" Well, Thanks for making me feel like more of a fool. " He said with the same smile on his face.

[Tenko]

"It's what I do," Ino responded airily, lifting the bowls up and handing them to Ayame; she had Haru's unfinished fifth packed up just in case. Glancing regretfully as her bowl was taken care of (because seriously, she was getting fond of whatever sort of Ramen Haru had ordered for her), she turned away from the packaging process to call for another two boxes for home.

"You know, tragically damage people's self esteem." Laughing anxiously, she played with her fingers in an idle-manner as opposed to a Hinata-esque one, adding, "It's a brilliant pastime." Technically, Ino didn't do that, but what could stop a girl from saying that sort of crap?
